A New Years Gift to yourself

January 2, 2012
Happy New Year!

First I will update you on the Skincerity experiment...
I have to say I can't be bothered to roll the product on my face at night. The smell is also too much.

The company uses Cosmetics grade acetone... It's still acetone.  I am sure you wont find this ingredient in any product from the health food store, nor any professional quality product.

Yes our body creates it's own and apples apparently have it in them but I have never smelled an apple that smells  like the acetone you get at Canadian Tire. (the mask smells this bad) "but only for a few seconds" the company ensures you...

The last time i used it I woke up in the morning and I looked like my skin was peeling off.
It was just the mask but  it felt uncomfortable. It was hard to go back to sleep as all I felt was this film rubbing off of my face into the pillow.  It was in my hair even after showering and is not easy to get out.

I will try it again and see if I warm up to it. My skin looked ok, I thought maybe it looked a little better. Although it was quite red.

My dry, red elbow doesn't  hurt as much but it was a annoying as the flakies didn't even come off in the shower. I was peeling pieces off all day, did not look pretty.

I will report more soon...

Now for the New Year...

We all want to look better, alot of us will pay dearly for the treatment or injection that will fix the unsightly facial flaws that we develop as we age. You ask which machine will do the job.

Well guess what... you can really take this upon yourself. You will achieve much more than great skin. The bonus is that you will also lose weight, alleviate allergies, improve all medical conditions and feel the best that you ever have...

How do we do this???

There is a part of us that we need to learn how to control, it's actually our inner guide to health and happiness.

This innate wisdom is always trying to make us feel better by urging us to eat foods that will dissipate, at least temporarily, our physical tension, give us more energy and lift our moods.

In essence, this part of us is always monitoring our physical, emotional and psychological conditions and struggling to create balance, harmony and happiness.

Whether you crave coffee to boost your energy, sweets to raise your mood, or alcohol to release tension, cravings indicate much more about what your body really desires.  After we indulge in our cravings we often feel weak and empty, and want something nutritious and strengthening.

By learning to observe your behavior and interpreting your body's signals, you will be able to modify your diet and lifestyle in a more health-supportive way. By doing this you will naturally correct skin related concerns as well as provide your skin with optimal nutrients to correct and prevent aging, loss of elasticity, blemishes, improve texture and brighten your complexion. You will notice smoother, more supple skin.  The more aware of your body you are and understand that just because it's good doesn't mean it's good for you.

The main culprits...

-white flour
-gluten
-white sugar
-dairy
-anything processed
-food colouring
-preservatives
- the list goes on...

It seems difficult but it's more difficult and stressful, living with poor skin or chronic pain or illness.

Trying Skincerity???? I am.

December 27, 2011
I'm sure some of you have heard of Skincerity. It is a roll on mask retailing for $100-$120. A home based product which as most companies tout was developed for medical use.

The question everyone asks, is it good?

Well my first thought would be no. Could a product containing acetone be safe to use on the skin for long periods of time?
Is it an ingredient that I would want to put on my face once?
As it happens a client brought me some to try.
The before and after pictures looked great. Hesitantly...

Something New!

December 24, 2011
Happy Holiday Everyone!

The more of you I meet, the more i am convinced that providing skincare is only a portion of what it takes to achieve your skincare goals.

Diet and lifestyle are just as important, if not more than what I can do for you with a machine.

I am in the process of finding a school where I can become an integrative nutritional consultant.
Meaning - an individual program for each person. Incorporating allergies, disease & emotional considerations among many other factors to help y...

What a great November we had!

December 2, 2011
So far so good, no -20. The sun has been out.... and the Christmas shopping has begun.

I can't believe that I haven't posted anything since May! My how time flies...
Wow, so much is new I don't know where to start.

I am happy to begin incorporating some Eastern philosophies into my treatments. I have found that I can achieve much greater results with my skin care when I treat the whole person not just the external skin.

Here is a face mapping chart that gives you an indication of what is going o...

Bathing In Bleach

May 2, 2011
YES, that's what I said... a client of mine has been to the allergist and EVERY other professional  for years looking for relief for her skin. Open lesions, eczema, itchiness... After every alternative she was finally advised to bath in bleach.
Her skin has healed 100%.  I couldn't believe it. I Googled it an it looks like common knowledge. So there ya have it. Give it a try. 1/2 cup of Bleach in a full tub of water.

Also the annoying back of the arm bumps may be alleviated by taking Vitamin A....

Vegas Experience...

April 22, 2011
Just got back from a convention is Vegas. Lots of new stuff coming your way!

BUT 1st the update on the lash enhancer, Lash Genesis. It's been two weeks since I started the trial and I'm pretty happy with the results. I haven't been as diligent as I should have been but I do see an improvement regardless. Mostly darker lashes. My eyebrow has a few new hairs in it. I learned at the show though that lashes that don't grow out to the corner of the eyes are an indication of a potential thyroid pro...

Great looking skin, extra energy and great health benefits... just add chlorophyl!

April 12, 2011
It's a sunny day in Kelowna!  Now what to do with it! Had a cancellation today and really am itching to get outside and attack the yard. It's overwhelming though. Much easier to sit with a cup of tea and type my thoughts to you on the computer...

Last week I bought some chlorophyl to add to my water. It has spearmint oil in it and tastes quite pleasant.
There are alot of health benefits to it and since I drink water all day long - an easy way to get the benefits with no extra work.

Since takin...

Today's thoughts

April 8, 2011
Today I picked up the latest in lash enhancing cream. All natural and highly effective. There is a woman in Kelowna who has had chemotherapy treatments and her eye lashes have not grown back for a few years. Within a month of using Lash Genisis her lashes started coming in at the outer corners of her eyes. Then started filling in on the inner corners.
Other brands have been proven to change people's eye colour. Probably not the best chemicals to use near the eyes!

April 6 2011

April 6, 2011
Today I realized that a blog would be a great way to keep everyone on top of everything I learn and to share experiences which will help keep you posted with ideas and new treatments and gimmicks.

I have been doing alot of acne care lately and most of my clients have now started using Moor Spa professional products.
The ingredients are 100% natural and light in smell. The products are made in Vancouver.
I can't tell you how excited I get when I see a client a week after their last treatment and...
